190/365: Sunset at Port Dalhousie

On our way back from doing some shopping, we took a quick detour to this waterfront community that has a beach on the shore of Lake Ontario. We were there in time for the sunset and left within 15 minutes because the bugs were getting to us and the signs said the water "may be harmful" (it was a little hard explaining it to the kids!).

This is so beautiful, I think it needs to be on a calandar, on a card, or at least on the wall. Thank you for your advice about the macro filter. All I know is that it needs to be on a zoom lens and the only one I have that is
58mm, is an inexpensive 55-200 that I had on my Rebel. I was using manual focus and I didn't even notice where it was at, so I went and looked just now, and I had it at 55mm. LOL! Maybe that is one of the problems I can fix. Thank you for that information. I will try it again tonorrow at 200mm and see what happens.
