288/365: The Milk Bag

When we moved up to Canada, this is one of those things that surprised us:  the milk bag. These milk pouches come three to a bag--and the pitcher is designed just for these. (In Ontario, they don't sell the plastic gallons of milk.)

Very interesting... so are there three bags to a bag, and then you put one bag in the pitcher at time. Even with your wonderful shot, I'm having trouble visualizing this... just sayin'

Yes, three pouches in one bigger bag that is tied together (and emblazoned with logos and nutritional info!). I may have to take a photo of it! LOL

I didn't know this. Is it to save on plastic or money or both??

I never knew that. Hmmm, very interesting! I wonder if it's because the plastic milk jugs we use here are known to leach chemicals into our milk...one of the reasons I usually buy 1/2 gallons, even though they are more expensive.
